The Folie overlooks the classically designed golf course of Gowrie Farm. This 9 hole course has tees close to the ground, gently undulating fairways and push-up greens, with the feel of an inland links course. While it is testing for the good players, it is also enjoyable for the average golfer.  It is a par 70, 9 hole course which has 2 additional short holes, totaling 5 short holes. As a result, it gives the course variety and interest and ensures that the golfer has the feel of playing an 18 hole rather than a 9 hole. 

The fairways are Kikuyu and it has bent grass greens and surrounds.  A feature of the golf course is the rugged bunkers which penalize any of the wayward shots. This is an interesting, classic course which demands accurate iron play and good chipping.
